Export cases for IMO CLASS 4.1 dangerous goods


A chemical enterprise needs to export Class 4.1 dangerous goods to a destination. Since they have no experience in the trade of import and export of dangerous goods, they are quite unfamiliar with all procedures. They contacted our company by Internet and entrusted us to handle with the whole export procedures. We made the following analysis and solutions according to actual conditions of the customer:

I.  Manufacturer Analysis

1. They have never made a customs registration or applied for the Certification for Packaging of Dangerous Goods before.

2. They are unfamiliar with the requirements for packaging of dangerous goods.

3. They are unfamiliar with the procedures of customs declaration and inspection.

Ⅱ. Solutions and Suggestions

1. First of all, Class 4.1 dangerous goods is a single pure substance. Without sending samples, our company issued the classification and identification report and material safety data sheet of the customs as an agent.

2. Purchase packing bags, which attached with the Inspection Results of Entry-Exit Goods Packaging Performance, from a qualified woven bag manufacturer.

3. Prepare safety data sheets, GHS labels and other documents and submit them to the customs department for review.

4. Apply to the shipping company for the shipping space for dangerous goods in advance.

5. Apply for sufficient stacking space for dangerous goods at the terminal in advance.

6. Transport the goods from shipper's door to our DG warehouse by domestic trucks.

7. Arrange professional dangerous goods transport vehicles to come to the warehouse to load and unload the goods, and appoint professionals to supervise the loading and reinforcing.

8. Make arrangements on maritime declaration, customs declaration and shipment.
